William Barum for Brannum art pottery. Dimensions are 14 inches high x 11 inches in diameter. The condition is perfect and with no restorations.
Signed on the base, dated 1891.
Repousse is patterning in metalwork surfaces created by fine hammering from the reverse side.
Made around 1875, this was a popular design. The success of, and pride in the British naval forces in the nineteenth century inspired the making of English furniture based on marine designs.
Probably made around 1950, this stylish and finely made lantern is in the Regency taste. The glass is perfect with no scraches. The ceiling rosette is still with it. Wired and ready to hang.
