Ronald Ossory Dunlop (1894–1973) was an Irish author and painter in oil of landscapes, seascapes, figure studies, portraits and still life. He was born in Dublin, Ireland.

In perfect condition, this fine painting records the appearance of Gibraltar at the end of the nineteenth century.
The label remnant on the stretcher identifies this work as an exhibition painting. It remains in its original gilded frame.
Inscribed in pencil on the back, "A soldier of the European Organization in the service of Abu Mirza."
